Professional students’ conference organised by SSF concludes at Madin Academy
Malappuram: A three-day professional students’ conference organised by the Kerala State Sunni Students Federation (SSF) concluded on the Madin Academy campus here on Sunday, making a clarion call for building a strong cultural defence against fascist designs and moral decadence.
About 3,000 Muslim students from different campuses across the country attended the meet called Prof Summit.
The meet warned the student community to be vigilant against acts of moral turpitude in the name of upholding personal and social freedom.
“A movement like the Kiss of Love is not the correct answer for acts of moral policing,” the meet said.
Madin Academy chairman Sayed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari delivered the keynote address at the valedictory session. SSF State president P.A. Farook Nayeemi presided over the function.

Conference of students organised by SSF heldMalappuram: A conference of professional students organised by the Kerala State Sunni Students Federation (SSF) witnessed various sessions on issues faced by students across the country.
Inaugurating the conference titled ‘Prof Summit’ here on Saturday, All India Jamiyyathul Ulama general secretary Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliyar exhorted students to make service to society a key agenda of their life. Criticising the Salafi movement, Mr. Kanthapuram said Islamist terrorism was an offshoot of Salafi thoughts. “All along, they [Salafis] have been trying to tarnish the Sunni faith. But today, we have seen how the world has begun to accept the Sunni ideology by rejecting the Salafi faith,” he said.
Kerala Muslim Jamat State secretary and Madin Academy chairman Sayed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari presided over the function. Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama president E. Sulaiman Musliar delivered the keynote address.
A discussion on campus life will be held on Sunday morning. Freethinker K.E.N. Kunhahamed will speak at a seminar on fascism and Salafism. Islamic scholar from Sri Lanka Ishan Khadiri will be the chief guest at the valedictory session in the afternoon. THE HINDU 11/03/2017
